I have a custom quote module, that i would like to modify and add 2 custom fields,

The admin quote module is similar to sales order admin pages, so i want override the admin templates and layouts to add a text field and a boo-lean switch field and fields appears on the admin quote view page,
What i need to know, i should create an updateSchema class? and for the Quote model i should override it?

Also must i create an observer to save the fields when the quote is saved or it will be automatically saved?

Thanks to clear me, i'm Magento beginner.
