We have the following code which fires when the event sales_quote_merge_before
is fired. So a customer adds 1 product to cart, then moves to cart and sees the 1 product. They then click a button [LOGIN]... the code below is triggered and any existing carts are emptied before merging.... until now all is correct
Only: directly after the merge the page loads and the message we see is: Your cart is empty.
The strange thing is that it is somehow related to the backend setting Cookie Domain
... if we set it to the current domain: then the above works and the merge is finished and the cart is NOT empty.If we leave the Cookie Domain
setting empty then the cart is EMPTY after the merge. No clue.
public function truncateCustomerCart(Varien_Event_Observer $observer)
if (Mage::helper('jbh_cartmerge')->isActive()) Mage::helper('jbh_cartmerge')->cleanIfEmpty())
if (is_object($observer->getQuote()) && $observer->getQuote()->getId())
$observer->getQuote()->removeAllItems()->save();
