I am trying to add custom fonts to the theme and the .lib-font-face() mixin is throwing 404 errors for .woff and .woff2 when trying to use the .ttf fonts only.

In _typography.less file, I have the following:

.lib-font-face(
@family-name: @font-family-name__base,
@font-path: '@baseDirfonts/Nunito/NunitoSans-Light',
@font-weight: 300,
@font-style: normal
);

Now, on front-end in console, I see this:

GET http://blahblahblah/en_GB/fonts/Nunito/NunitoSans-Light.woff2 net::ERR_ABORTED 404 (Not Found)

GET http://blahblahblah/en_GB/fonts/Nunito/NunitoSans-Light.woff net::ERR_ABORTED 404 (Not Found)

I don't have the .woff or .woff2 version of the font, should I declare the fonts manually and avoid the mixin or am I doing something wrong here?

I have followed this tutorial: https://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.3/frontend-dev-guide/css-topics/using-fonts.html
