Atahualpa, joskus myös Atawallpalähde? (noin 1502–1533), oli Perun inkavaltakunnan viimeinen hallitsija.[1] Hänen isänsä Huayna Capac, joka kuoli vuonna 1528, jolloin Atahualpa ja hänen veljensä Huáscar jakoivat maan. He joutuivat kuitenkin pian sotaan keskenään. Atahualpa voitti ja tapatti veljensä vuonna 1532.


Samana vuonna perjantaina 15. marraskuuta Atahualpa jäi Francisco Pizarron johtamien espanjalaisten konkistadorien vangiksi. Atahualpa maksoi vapauttamisekseen tyrmän täydeltä aarteita, mutta espanjalaiset nostivat häntä vastaan Pizarron-vastaisen salaliittosyytöksen, josta hänet tuomittiin poltettavaksi. Kun Atahualpa suostui ottamaan kasteen, tuomio muutettiin kuristamiseksi.[1]
