I am using Mageworx extension for canonical tags, but want to add a custom canonical tag/url in a category, and remove the canonical url generated by the extension. I am using Magento 2.2.5.
I used this in
category > Design > Layout Update XML:
<head>
<link rel="canonical" href="http://dev.ndspro.com/products/drainage/grates/catch-basin-grates.html" />
<remove name="canonical" />
</head>
But it created 2 href tags in the custom created canonical url, and also didn't remove the extension url.
