I am trying to integrate Paytabs avenue payment method with Magento 2.3 however once payment is processed, the user is navigated back to the homepage with error

Order is getting placed but with pending_payment status.

Upon debugging, I found that CSRF validation fails when Paytab posts response on return URL. While I also tried solution mentioned on the below posts :
