Piece-Drop Mate
Piece-drop Mate #2
Here's a third one and an interesting one at that:
Your task is to place a piece on the board as White and checkmate Black.
The correct answer is the one which places the lowest-value piece possible on the board to checkmate Black.
Outside of this piece drop, all rules of regular chess apply, including piece limits (i.e. no more than 8 pawns can be on the board at 1 point.)
Good luck! ;)

Two things: You said it would be White to move, so black can not make any moves at all. This is a placem: the placed piece does not move to it's sqaure, it is put on the board, so my solution is correct there. The piece is placed and THEN a move is made: Two An implication is not outright: You did not say "Place it WITH checkmate," which would not allow for my solution. You said place a piece AND checkmate Black, allowing for the loophole of a non-immediate mate piece placement.
